Superior Spider-Man to say I do to WHO?

February 26 — Doctor Octopus assuming the role of Spider-Man in Marvel Comics’ Superior Spider-Man (spoiler alert!) created quite the stir among fans, but now we hear even more shocking news. Sources close to writer Dan Slott report that the Superior writer is planning wedding vows for Ock/Spidey and the lucky bride-to-be is none other than — Mary Jane Watson!

Slott is no stranger to controversy. He was one of the creators behind the story “One More Day,” which saw Mephisto rewrite history to annul the marriage between Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson. To keep the momentum going, Slott appears ready to reveal to the world what Mary Jane whispered to the devil in Amazing Spider-Man #545. Our guess is that it was must have been “Make Doctor Octopus become Spider-Man.”

Asked to comment on this story, Slott has said officially only that he doesn’t want to spoil the outcome of future issues for his readers. That’s not a denial!
