Man of Steel to make a monkey of Superman?
May 22 — Warner Brothers’s latest Superman movie has barely hit theaters, but there’s already speculation about drastic changes for future installments in the franchise.
In a recent interview with SFX magazine, director Zack Snyder admitted that he hasn't yet finalized plans for the next Superman film, but he is willing to speculate.
“Snyder: When you run out of ideas, you’re like yeah, let’s go to the animals! ... What’s the monkey’s name? Bubbo? Booboo? Beppo, yeah, that’s it! Maybe the third film!”
Could we really see Beppo the Super Monkey, Krypto the Super Dog, Streaky the Super Cat, or Comet the Super Horse in live action on the big screen? Only if DC keeps doing well enough at the box office to produce sequels. Given the franchise’s big budget and recent track record, that’s no sure thing.
